At the risk of loosing her well paying job, Yaa Bosumtwi decided to speak against her employer(Columbia University, where she had her Masters) when she was asked to misrepresent information by omission.
She was threatened with termination but she soldiered on. Her appointment was subsequently terminated and she filed a historic lawsuit on the 24th of May 2010.
Yaa Bosumtwi also speaks for the voiceless and has launched a nationwide campaign that seeks to correct the disparity in pay for "local" employees and "foreign" employees.
Instead of sitting on the fence and enjoy all the pecks that come with her position, one individual is set to change the course of how foreign companies treat Ghanaian locals.
You can reach the campaign on: (233) 054 730 7351 / yaaforjustice@gmail.com |
